You made it! You just booked your podcast studio session with Mavros Studios and feel a sudden rush of excitement… and a little anxiety. Do not worry, it’s natural. If you’re like us, you want things to run smoothly and have an amazing experience you can rave about to all your friends and family.

Discover some key tips, use our checklist and plan for parking before your scheduled booking to help set yourself up for success.

Session Checklist

  • Are you coming alone or with guests? It’s good practice to communicate ahead of time to all parties when, where, and how you will arrive at the studio for your session.

    This is also a good time to make sure everyone is available. Any last minute changes? You now have time to update your plan or get into contact with us to talk about your session.

  • The beauty of podcasts are in having authentic, free flowing conversation that resembles having an interesting chat with a long-time friend. What we must remember is real conversation can be flawed; we stumble words, lose train of thought, spend extended time rambling about one idea.

    An underrated pro tip is creating a rough outline of your episode including broad topics, specific points you’d like to mention. Think of it as your cue cards for an oral presentation in school.

    By doing this, you’ll keep you and your guests on the same page without interrupting the natural flow of conversation, ensuring your episode is nothing but smooth sailing.

    In all seriousness, we like to organise the nitty gritty for you. This is what you pay for at Mavros Studios. We provide all equipment, seating, and water so the only thing you need to remember is to just be yourself and have fun during recording.

    Like we said, having an outline is optional, but highly recommended. The easiest way to create these are notes on your phone that can you easily share with guests and have on you at all times. Let us take care of the rest.

  • Forgot what time your session is booked for? It happens! Upon booking, we send confirmation to the email attached with the order so you always have your booking information handy.

    We recommend creating a calendar event through your desired platform just to be super sure the session doesn’t slip your mind among all of life’s chaos and unpredictability.

  • We are located at 84 Hotham St, Prestion VIC 3072. Our studio is in walking distance to multiple modes of public transport including buses, trams, and trains.
